Motif built a website experience that stands out from competitors – from the bold visuals to the powerful messaging.
Approach
The medical waste industry is stodgy. But Cyntox was happy to abandon its forgettable website in lieu of something more memorable. We went with a design-first approach, creating a visually different experience than the many other available websites. The goal? To stop users in their tracks and think, "Hey, what's that?" In an industry like this, simply creating an engaging design experience will do that!
messaging
Biohazard solutions are traditionally a low-touch service: no direct contact with support agents, vague pricing, and unnecessarily complicated payment terms with no one around to explain them. For the Cyntox website, all we had to do was make prospects aware of their pain points – and let them know how much better it could be. The tone was respectfully rebellious – professional, but still pointing out some truths about the industry!
user experience
Balancing professionalism with sticky design can be tricky – especially in an industry where photography would not be particularly appealing (used needles, anyone?) Instead, we created line illustrations that are clear and descriptive – without the ick factor. Thoughtful, subtle animations throughout the website elevate and round out the experience, positioning Cyntox as cutting-edge and modern.
